The apostle Paul in reassuring Christians of his commitment to Christ declared boldly that he was 'able'. In his epistle to the Galatians, Paul simply stated: "I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not going to go back on that."(Gal.2:20-21, TM)
In noting the transformation in his life, he owed everything to Christ Jesus, thus eliminating him from the equation--while crediting Christ for the strength, the freedom, the excitement, the 'new life'.
As a servant of the Lord Jesus, I too, like Paul, desire to declare daily that I am 'able' because of Christ, and I'm nothing without Him in my life. I want to talk, walk, act, forgive, love, reason, show mercy, pray, and live like Christ!
